Silly String and Skydives

So…thanks to a friend (Justin Shorb), I’ve discovered the joys of SillyString in the air. Actually, “GoofyString” that only costs around .75 a can.
Whether it’s a wingsuit skydive, backflying and shooting those above with the compressed-air toy, or flying camera with a tandem, this silly toy can spice up a skydive like you wouldn’t believe.
Spraying sillystring towards the tandem results in beautiful spirals of foam that circle the sky. Thin ribbons of color rotating around the drogue makes for a sweet picture. Spraying it towards wingsuiters flying above, it looks like lasers flying from the hands. The angle makes for a really fun shot, and dodging the foam is even more fun.

The military uses this stuff to help find trip-wires for bombs. Kids use it to drive their parents crazy.
Thanks, Justin, for forever changing my view of a skydive. I now keep GoofyString on hand ‘just in case.’

I've been a successful sales manager, musician, film/video professional, instructional designer, and skydiver. Picked up a few pieces of gold, brass, titanium, and tin along the way. This blog is where I spill my guts about how I'm feeling at any given moment, and maybe a blurb or two about what's happening in the sales, video, or skydiving worlds.
