The day started easily enough; Justin Shorb on-camera was as smooth as butter. We spent most of the morning shooting in the sunlight. Eric was a big help, particularly as he kept tripping over microphone cables and disconnecting them. He was great keeping lights in place, Gatorade in our hands, and general gophering.
Jeff was busy taking up first jump students in the wingsuit, so we let him do his thing while we did ours.
FINALLY, we were finished with the ground footage needed for our client/project.
Time to get into the sky and JUMP!
Scotty, Justin, Mark, Mike, and myself got set up for a four way. The idea was that we’d fly super tight. Mark’s head kept bumping Mike’s foot, much to Mike’s irritation. He was trying to fly a steady base, after all….
I popped up to let Justin take my slot, and he flew up to Purple Mike, docked with him, and tossed him into a scary roll (seen at the end of this embedded video).
The day ended with lots of beer at both the Sebastian deck and the Pig n’ Whistle British Pub. I even learned to like Miller Lite with the excellent, fresh baked bread they serve at this small, but very nice restaurant on Indian River Road.
We ended the night with Jeff and Justin having a contest that was mindful of the old “mousetrap” game.
Simply crazy when you mix two creative guys, a bit of beer, and a lotta kitchen stuff in the motel room.
